Update on CBP Global Settlement

On July 7, 2017, NTEU notified you that checks are scheduled to be mailed to covered individuals from August 14 to 25. Checks will be mailed in four waves, divided by geographic region. Specific information about the waves follows:

• Batch 1: Texas; Washington (state); Alaska; Nevada; Wyoming; South Dakota;
• Batch 2: Florida; Tennessee; New Hampshire; Arizona; Virginia; Georgia; Illinois; Maine; Utah;
• Batch 3: New York; Hawaii; Vermont; North Dakota; Pennsylvania; Minnesota; Massachusetts; Montana; Maryland; South Carolina; North Carolina; New Mexico; Ohio; Louisiana; Idaho; Kentucky; Indiana; Colorado; Mississippi; Alabama; Delaware; West Virginia; Missouri; Connecticut; Wisconsin; Oregon; Washington, D.C.; Rhode Island; Nebraska; Oklahoma; Kansas; Arkansas; and
• Batch 4: California; Michigan; New Jersey; Puerto Rico; Virgin Islands; Guam; Northern Mariana Islands; U.S. Minor Outlying Islands; AE; AP; AA; All International Addresses.

The checks will be one-page folded mailers with perforated edges/openings, with “CBP Global Settlement Program” in the return address field. Individuals covered by the settlement should be on the look-out for these mailers beginning on August 15. If an individual has not received a check by September 1, 2017, he or she should contact the Settlement Administrator at 1-844-378-6551. Moreover, if any covered individual has recently moved or would otherwise like to update his or her address, please direct them to the settlement web site at www.cbpsettlement.com or ask that they call the Settlement Administrator at 1-844-378-6551.

The FAQs on our web site have been updated to include information on the payment process and additional comp time due to those who do not receive their full payment because of overtime cap limitations. The Settlement Administrator will also post a more general set of FAQs on their web site at www.cbpsettlement.com.
